Strategy

We believe that the following goals will help us maintain our competitiveness and pursue our strategy :

Dedication to quality and attention to physicians

We are committed to ensure the highest quality of diagnostic services to all of our patients. We were the first laboratory group in France to set mandatory rules leading to certification (ISO) and/or accreditation (COFRAC) for all our laboratories. The same quality standards are applied in full compliance with national regulations in Germany, Spain, Portugal and Italy.

Focus on patients

We operate over 200 patient service centers. We offer our patients convenient “proximity services” for their diagnostic tests, with support services and amenities, extended service hours, wide variety of examinations and fast delivery of results. Routine hospital tests for hospital inpatients are provided by our on-site laboratories, allowing a quick and efficient service, tailored to the specific needs of the patient.

Independent Partnerships and multi-brand approach

All our clinical laboratories are managed by independent healthcare professionals, all being partners of the group using common services to improve quality and efficiency. In each of our current markets, we offer separately branded patient service centers consistent with the segmentation of the healthcare industry in Europe.

Wide European presence

Although our main line of business is outpatient services, we have diversified our business into inpatient and reference laboratory services, which we believe have cross-marketing and operational synergies with, and limit our exposure to any downturns in, the outpatient business.

Economies of scale and platform for growth

As we have grown, we are achieving economies of scale, which enables us to process our clinical tests efficiently. As our regional laboratories currently operate below maximum capacity, we believe that, depending on adaptation and evolutions of local regulations, we can expand our processing capacity as necessary with limited incremental capital expenditure. In addition, we believe our size and wide presence gives us greater bargaining power with partners.

Medical Support

Medical diagnostic services have become fundamental to the practice of the majority of medical specialties. The increasing large number of diagnostic tests available and the constant technological innovation of the sector demands that physicians have extensive knowledge of tests, interpretation of results and their applications (LabMedica)

Technology investment

Labco, through long term partnerships with biotechnology companies specialized in diagnostic tests products, is heavily investing in new testing technologies (molecular biology and genetic testing).

Experienced management with track record of growth

Our senior management has extensive experience in the medical diagnostic industry and has achieved an operational history of organic growth and expansion through acquisitions. Since 2003, our annual gross revenue has grown at an average annual rate of over 40%, and this growth has been accompanied by increases in quality and productivity and the reduction of production costs and the delivery time of tests.
