Integration of the group

New group projects are launched, in order to involve the labs and partners in the group integration.

A new brand image is created, reflecting the role of Labco as a health-care provider. The branding strategy is designed to be implemented and adapted in the network within the next years.

Labco celebrates 5 years of existence

2008

Consolidation of the network in Europe

Cohesion and adherence of partners is sought within the model, core values, similar activities, and synergy.

From the continued French, Iberian, Italian and German development, but also from new countries such as Belgium and the Netherlands, new partners are gradually integrated in the network in terms of management, economic integration, medical activities, etc.

2007

Development of the network in Europe

Labco sets up for the first time in Italy and in Germany.

A European development team is put in place, with the initiation of many negotiations. Know-how and expertise in development are combined with preparation and acquisition of each country’s legal and economical specificites.

Expansion into Spain (General Lab) and Italy (CAM)

2006

Structure in France is strengthened

Services (quality, communication, purchasing) for the attention of laboratory doctors and local private network of clinical laboratories (SEL) are rolled out.

Labco is granted official recognition and starts to develop a strong image.

Development of the network in France

Growth in France extends to new regions.

Management is given a professional structure.

Joint projects are launched: quality blueprint, medical project, etc.

Expansion into Italy (Labco Liguria)

2004

Creation of the Labco network

The legal structure is finalised.

June 24th: The first local private network of clinical laboratories (SEL) (60m€ in sales) is acquired. This marks the symbolic birth of Labco.

Financing is put together with the aid of several French banking institutions.

Full integration of acquisitions

2003

Creation of Labco SAS

The key players within the profession are met and consulted.

The Labco management is put in place.

The first financing round is carried out.

Definition

Constitution of the first core members group.

The basic principles of the project are defined, as well as the operating rules and their implementation.

A test of the legal structure is evaluated.

A first group of laboratory doctors associated with the project is set up.

First contacts

Creation of the project by the two founders, Eric Souêtre (physician, health economist) and Stéphane Chassaing (pharmacist, biologist).

The first contacts are made with a group of laboratory doctors and financiers to evaluate the feasibility of the project.
